Hydrangea macrophylla 'Joseph Banks'
Please note that these are still small dormant plants that have shed last years foliage and have new buds ready to shoot in spring.
Due to the onset of wet Autumn conditions, the leaves of the Joseph Banks hydrangea have developed some seasonal blemishes. This is normal for Autumn/winter conditions when hydrangea leaves turn off-color due to their deciduous growth habit. Some customers who have never grown hydrangeas become alarmed and report various spots and discolorations they observe on the foliage. I reassure customers that this is normal
The old fashioned hydrangea that my grandparents had in the garden. The flowers change from light pink to light blue with a bit of white depending on soil pH.
